Ed Gein photos Plainfield, WI consecutive killer


WARNING! A FEW GRAPHIC PHOTOS! Edward Theodore Gein was born in La Crosse, WI in 1906, moved with his family to Plainfield, WI in 1914, where they had a farm and grew potatoes. While growing up, he would read the book Henry Gray's Anatomy of the Human Body, he would look at the pictures in the Gray's Anatomy book, and began to get sexually excited by them. His father and mother slaughtered a pig, and that is when Ed Gein had his first orgasm. As an adult, he was shy and bashful around women, but he would really stare at women, even when he was in the mental hospital. When his family died, he began being a grave robber and murderer, and mentally ill. Possibly practiced necrophilia. According to Ed, he was a virgin, and died a virgin. Was arrested for murder in November, 1957 of Bernice Worden (single .22 shot to the temple and body mutilated) and Mary Hogan (murdered in 1954). He was placed in a mental institution (Central State Hospital for the Criminally Insane in Waupun, WI (now converted into a prison called the Dodge Correctional Institution) and moved to another one (Mendota Mental Health Institute, Goodland Hall, in Madison, WI) where he passed away in 1984. He used to dig up bodies and keep some parts where he would keep in groups, noses, skins, facial skins for masks, skulls, shrunken heads, scalps, hair, and vaginas.
